Creating a Real Recruiting Effort at Your Startup Charlie O'Donnell, Principal, Investor at Brooklyn Bridge Ventures Wednesday, December 19th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Finding great talent is hard -- whether you're recruiting a developer or a salesperson. But recruiting great talent is what differentiates truly game-changing startups from the rest. A company's success will depend on being able to find and recruit the best people to join its effort, making recruiting the single most important aspect of entrepreneurship.
Unfortunately, most startups get it completely wrong--relying on job posts, sending businesspeople to Meetups and paying bounties to bring people in. This class will focus on a few examples of extremely effective practices that any startup can and should do to create a scalable recruiting effort.
Key Takeaways: Students will learn how to create a continuous flow of quality candidates and how to close them when the right candidate comes along.
1 - How to make your company seem more attractive to potential talent. 2 - How to find the best talent. 3 - How to create processes to efficiently filter the flow and close the hire you want.
Target Audience: The ideal student is someone who has the budget to actually make a hire and is serious about growing a company. This class is not for people with 'an idea' to need to find a technical co-founder.
Level Pre-Requisites: None.
Preparation: None.
Charlie O'Donnell is a seed investor at Brooklyn Bridge Ventures and has previously worked at First Round Capital and Union Square Ventures. More importantly, he has placed nearly 30 people at startup companies in just the last two years.
