About This Class

We've all heard of Microsoft Excel, and yet a surprising number of people have little to no experience using it. In this class - ideal for people working in business, management, or simply interested in getting more organized - you'll learn the basics of the application. Beginning with setup and configuring/optimizing settings, you'll go through the step-by-step process of input, navigation, calculation, formatting, and analysis. A basic understanding of Excel goes a very long way when it comes to managing your job or business. This class will make you more desirable job candidate and more productive as a worker.

Prereqs & Preparation

Students should have a general familiarity with Excel.
Please bring a laptop with Microsoft Office 7 or 10 installed (PC recommended, Mac acceptable). Students will also be emailed case study files prior to class that they should download to their desktop.

Michael J. Ciolli is a Principal at Piton Advisors, a consultancy which provides strategic, financial, and corporate development advisory. Through Piton, Michael often serves as a virtual CFO for early stage companies and a coach for AMT, the leading training company to Wall Street. Prior to Piton, Michael was an M&A banker and equity research analyst covering the IT and business services industries.
