A 6-hour Intro to UX Design

This class will provide an overview of the key concepts of user experience (UX) design. Class material will be a mix of lecture, discussion, industry examples, and classroom activities. Students will leave the class with a broad understanding of how UX designers work with other team members, fundamentals of the industry, and how designers move from research insights to design concepts.


Instructor Bio:
Thomas Wendt is a design strategy and research consultant based in New York City, specializing in user research, experience strategy, design thinking, and innovation. He works with clients to help them better understand their customers through rigorous research methods, frame key user needs and problem areas, and provide structure to ideation sessions. He has worked with companies including American Express, DIRECTV, Capital One, IBM, General Assembly, Smith+Beta, and a number of agencies and startups. He currently holds an adjunct instructor position at New York University.
