Join us Tuesday, May 2nd to hear from Paul Trowbridge, Metis instructor of the upcomingStatistical Foundations for Data Science & Machine Learningcourse.
In this demonstration, we'll explore how current data science techniques can be applied to understand usage patterns of NYC Open Data datasets. We'll look at the nuts-and-bolts "under the hood" ofprogramatic API calls, & manipulation of JSON objects within R, the statistical analysis of the data, & finally, presentation & communication of the results via interactive web-based graphics. The demonstration will cover many topics relevant to data science & show how data science techniques can be applied to gain insight into real-world problems.
