The big disruptive things that people think of when they hear Innovation are typically accumulations of learnings from smaller-scale-lower-case i!-innovations. How can you make sure you are taking advantage of those opportunities to learn and do, and build a culture of innovation that can lead to larger Innovation? Putting innovation into practice is hard when you don't know where to begin.
In this class you will learn how to cultivate an innovation-friendly workstyle or workplace, identify areas for experimentation, and talk through some of the easiest ways to make creativity and envelope-pushing part of your day-to-day routine--so you can recognize opportunities where you see them.

* Doors open at 6:45, class starts at 7:00 sharp *

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
* What are you already doing that's working? How do you currently set and reach goals for innovation and improvement--even if you don't call it innovation?

* How can you make thinking small feel bigger? If you surface, track, and celebrate small changes, you can draw on them for greater effect--and be prepared for bigger ones.

* How can you spark more insights, big and small? Changing your routine or asking questions differently can make big changes in your approach to problem-solving. We'll talk through some methods that are proven to help people think in more innovative ways and be more perceptive in evaluating their environment and explore what might work for you.

* What are some easy ways to ask the right questions? We'll talk about how to make low-barrier research, low-tech testing, and networking lead to more innovation across your operations.

* How do you tackle the business problems you're facing right now? We'll work through some of your real-life issues to set goals for their own innovation mindset, experiment with low-barrier research, and leave with the right techniques to poke at some problems in a different way.

* Throughout, we'll use case studies and students own work to illustrate the how, not just the what, of the under-the-radar innovations that make all the difference in business and the world.

WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
* Professionals and entrepreneurs who want and need to focus on continuous improvement, find their own surprises while hoping for delight, and learn from their work every day.
