We have an amazing line-up for our second Tech Talks event.

Neha Batra is a software engineer at Floored, Inc. who works on making their 3D assets more accessible to our modelers, clients, and the public. Years ago, Neha was an energy consultant who quit and taught herself programming because it was time. She holds a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and enjoys confusing people as they try to trace her education/work history. Neha likes food, planning trips (and has slightly insane spreadsheets for her trips), and pronouncing GIFs how it should be : jiffs.


Kristal Pollack, Cofounder and Chief Technology Officer, architects and builds the core technology infrastructure of Magic Vibes Corporation. She has been a software engineer in the Bay Area for over 10 years working at numerous high-growth venture-backed startups. She holds 4 patents in the area of software and distributed systems and has published papers in prominent international technical conferences and journals. Most recently she was an early employee at Yammer, which was acquired in 2012 by Microsoft for $1.4B, and also built core technology for SunRun and MyBuys. Before entering the startup world, she worked on research in distributed storage systems at IBM Almaden. She holds a BS in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College and an MS in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz.

Camille Fournier is the Chief Technology Officer at Rent the Runway, a transformative brand that offersunprecedented access to designer fashion, disrupting the way millions of women get dressed. In thisrole, Camille leads Rent the Runways team of over 60 engineers who are responsible for not onlymaintaining the customer-facing technology but also the development of the custom logistics systemthat enables Rent the Runway to seamlessly deliver an exceptional customer experience.

In her tenure, Camille has led the team to develop innovations in shopping technology, such as the one-of-a-kind platform Our Runway, which allows customers to shop by user-generated photos of realwomen with similar body types. Her team is responsible for the creation of the scan-to-screentechnology utilized in Rent the Runway store locations in New York City, Washington, D.C., and LasVegas, which allows customers to add items to their Virtual Closet to reference when booking futurerentals. Under Camilles leadership, her team also developed the technology behind Rent the Runway Unlimited, a Netflix-like subscription service that provides customers a rotating selection of designerstatement pieces.

Prior to joining Rent the Runway, Camille served as a software engineer at Microsoft, and most recently,a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the areas of risk technology and technology infrastructure. Camilleis a well-respected voice within the tech community, speaking on a variety of topics such as distributedsystems and technology leadership.

Camille received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a MS inComputer Science from the University of Wisconsin. She is currently a member of the Apache SoftwareFoundation, and resides in New York City with her husband and son.

When you arrive at the Empire State Building (350 5th Ave), please head to the Visitor Desk in the lobby to receive a guest pass. Please be prepared to show a valid ID.
