November DemoDays: Halloween Hacks

November 3rd, doors open at 5pm and show starts at 5:30.

Join us for this fall rendition of DemoDays as students take the stage to showcase what they've been working on. In case you're new around these parts, here's how it works:

  • Students present their projects
  • Handful of 2-minute demos
  • A few 5-minute demos
  • Guest speaker rocks the house
  • Hang out and eat pizza

Location

This DemoDays will be held at Pivotal Labs in Union Square. Home to one of New York's premier software development firms, Pivotal makes DemoDays a party.

Speaker

Founder of P2PU and all-around hacker, this curious explorer might represent the epitome of what DemoDays are all about. John Britton is a creator who takes initiative and a maker with a personality. He'll round out this DemoDays with discussion about hacking, learning, and his collaborative learning platform, P2PU.

Past Demos

We know you can't always attend every DemoDays, here's some of the work students have shown in the past:

  • Project Eloe
  • Head's Up Hot Dogs iPhone game
  • Friidum Swap
  • hashmash.me
  • Tech in NYC singalong
  • The Grantophone

To present your project (code or design or startup), email demo@techatnyu.org. Whatever it is you've been working on, we want to see it!

NYU Entrepreneurs Festival

NYU's annual Entrepreneurs Festival will take place during the day on November 3rd. Spend your day at the festival and hop over to DemoDays as things wind down!

See you there
