Investment in real estate has always been Chinese investors' first choice when considering their portfolio diversification. New York has been the most popular U.S. gateway city for those Chinese investors. Here is a short list of some highlight transactions in recent years: Greenland Group's June 2014 buy-in to the Pacific Park project in downtown Brooklyn (total project value $5 billion), the October 2014 sale of the Waldorf Astoria to China's Anbang Insurance Group ($1.95 billion), and Bank of China's 2015 purchase of 7 Bryant Park ($600 million).</P>
