Charlotte brings a wealth of experience in venture capital investing, startups, & emerging biotechnology, having previously served as Vice President with H.I.G. BioVentures & an associate at Accelerator Corporation, where she was involved in the strategic development & management of many companies including Oncofactor, Groove Bipharma, & Acylin Therapeutics.</P>

Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Charlotte was a Vice-President at H.I.G. BioVentures focusing on investment opportunities in the life sciences, including therapeutics, diagnostics & medical devices at all stages of development. She was BOD observer at Cardeas Pharma & Alder Biopharmaceuticals. Charlotte started her career in early stage biotech investing at Accelerator Corporation, an investment vehicle focused on identifying, evaluating, financing & managing emerging therapeutic technologies. During her tenure, Charlotte was involved in the strategic development & management of five companies, including Oncofactor, Groove Biopharma, Acylin Therapeutics, Xori & Pharmselex. Charlotte currently serves as an observer on the board of directors of Synlogic, Sera Prognostics, Lodo Therapeutics & Vir Biotechnology.</P>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Charlotte earned a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Washington & a Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Cancer Biology from Duke University. She did her post-doctoral work in stem cells & regenerative medicine at the Institute for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine at the University of Washington. Charlotte is a member of the Kauffman Society of Fellows (Class 14).</SPAN></P>
