Brian Wood joined the Security Research & Development team at Samsung to build a mobility security certification program to support government & enterprise sales. As the program manager overseeing Common Criteria & FIPS evaluations, he has led Samsung through more than 20 successful Common Criteria evaluations & supporting FIPS certifications, integrating the program into the development cycle instead of one-off certifications. Brian acts as the Samsung representative for several Common Criteria Technical Communities, both through NIAP & the broader International community.

In addition to his role in certifications, Brian also represents Samsung in both FIDO Alliance & Global Platform working groups, participating in certification & specification groups.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Brian has a diverse background, ranging from product management to operations & training, providing valuable experience & insight in how to apply technology to a diverse set of problems with a focus on real solutions.

FIDO Alliance

The mission of the FIDO Alliance is to change the nature of online authentication by:

- Developing technical specifications that define an open, scalable, interoperable set of mechanisms that reduce the reliance on passwords to authenticate users.

- Operating industry programs to help ensure successful worldwide adoption of the Specifications.

- Submitting mature technical Specification(s) to recognized standards development organization(s) for formal standardization.
