...and we're back! Now that PGConf US 2015 is over, we are getting back into our meetup groove, and why not get back with a healthy discussion about backups?

We are very happy to have David Steele in town to talk about PgBackRest and how to efficiently backup massive amounts of data!

PgBackRest is a backup system developed at Resonate and open sourced to
address issues around the backup of databases that measure in tens of
terabytes. It supports per file checksums, compression, partial/failed
backup resume, high-performance parallel transfer, async archiving,
tablespaces, expiration, full/differential/incremental, local/remote
operation via SSH, hard-linking, restore, and more.

PgBackRest iswritten in Perl and does not depend on rsync or tar but instead performsits own deltas which gives it maximum flexibility. This talk willintroduce the features, give sample configurations, and talk aboutdesign philosophy.

Join us on April 21 at 6:30pm to learn more about PgBackRest!
