<P CLASS="Default"><SPAN>Several innovations are now coming to fruition to ensure a safe and efficient transportation environment for its users. They range from advanced methods for collecting and analyzing safety data, to emerging practices for transportation agencies that include applying safety data and analysis to performance-based transportation planning, identifying priority projects to reduce fatalities, and measuring projects impacts. Others focus on new technologies, including software and other safety tools to ensure road safety. </SPAN></P>

<P CLASS="Default"><SPAN>This workshop will focus on innovations to reduce transportation-related deaths and injuries, whether they involve pedestrians, cyclists, passengers or motorists. Presenters will highlight innovations novel policies, strategies and technologies that address the current safety transportation challenges. They will discuss innovations that align well with current transportation plans.</SPAN></P>
