Description
Join us for the first Inside Startups Club, featuring speakers Richard Talens (Co-Founder/CTO Fitocracy), Jared Cocken (Chief Product Officer Fitocracy), Brett Martin (CEO Sonar), and Sam Lundin (CEO Vimbly). Company presentations will be followed by Q&A and an opportunity to network with attendees to discuss job opportunities and more. Anyone is welcome to join but developers are strongly encouraged to RSVP. Great way to build your network, hang with cool people, and learn more about the startup scene!
About Fitocracy: We all desire to improve our fitness. Unfortunately, most of us give up only after a short period of time. Sometimes it's because we don't see the progress quickly enough, our friends are not around, or because working out is... well, work. Fitocracy’s mission is to change the way we view fitness and make working out a more fun, more addictive experience. Track your progress, compete against your friends, and get real world results. Get addicted to your fitness.
About Sonar: Sonar.me is a mobile app that tells you when your friends and friends’ friends are nearby, revealing the hidden connections and small world moments you might have otherwise missed. By leveraging social and location data from networks like Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare and LinkedIn, Sonar gives you context about the people surrounding you, and helps introduce you to relevant people who share your interests, friends and professional contacts.
About Vimbly: Vimbly lets users find and book recreational activities for free. It eliminates hours of research for over 150 activities like tango lessons, intro photography classes, or Italian cooking sessions. All the information is in one place instead of the usual process of Googling, picking nearby locations, checking prices, manually comparing schedules (which are each presented differently), and then exchanging emails to lock it down.
