According to Ray Kurzweil, our smartphones give us access to more intelligently searchable information than the President of the United States had 15 years ago. They also give us access to more games. A lot more games. But are we using them intelligently? Could we adapt them for good? Whether your aim is education, outreach, fundraising, or crowdsourcing, engaging your audience in a playful way could be the best way to get them invested to your cause.

On Wednesday April 29th, #DesigningChange will take a look at how play can be a tool for social impact.

How do you design games and implement them in your project?

How do you adapt play to your audience and your goals?

Can getting your audience to opt in to a game really translate to a more invested community?

With a panel of talented professionals who can help us find out what works when it comes to social causes. We want to find out what works and what doesn't, and imagine a few things that have never been tried before.

When: Wednesday April 29, 2015

Doors open at 6:30 PM

Panel begins at 7:00 PM

Where: Livestream Public

195 Morgan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

#DesigningChange is being hosted once again by our friends at Livestream Public, where there will be food, drink, and a lot of movers and shakers. If you can't make it, don't worry, we'll be streaming live on the web! You can find the stream here.

For those with the grit to make the schlep to Bushwick: we salute you and we can't wait to see you there!
