CES & FFL Startup Talk: Successful B2B Marketing & Growth Strategies
Join Jen Grant (Google, Box, Looker), Henry Ward (eShares), & Julie Zhou (Google, Hipmunk, Yik Yak, AdRoll) for a discussion about successful B2B marketing & growth strategies for startups. The event will be on Wednesday, August 30th, from 4-6pm at Stanford. Light refreshments will be served. This event is co-hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES) at Stanford GSB & FFL Startup Accelerator.
Jen Grant, Chief Marketing Officer of Looker, is responsible for overseeing Looker's marketing & brand strategy. She spent the last 15 years building powerhouse brands from the ground-up. As the first executive marketing hire at Box, she oversaw its growth from a small consumer back-up start-up to an industry-leading enterprise content collaboration company used by the majority of the Fortune 500. After Box, she spent a few years advising Homebrew's portfolio, on the board of directors of nonprofit K-12 Team, & led the rebranding of Elastic as CMO. Prior to Box, Grant spent 4 years at Google leading the Google Apps EDU, Gmail & Book Search marketing teams. She holds an MBA from Wharton & a Bachelor's from Princeton University.
Henry Ward is the founder & CEO of eShares, a fast-growing online platform that allows companies-from seed stage to pre-IPO-to manage equity electronically with the participation of their shareholders, employees, auditors, & legal counsel. They are working with more than 1,500 companies & add more than 200 companies each month. They raised $17 million in Series B funding at a post-money valuation of $77 million.
Julie Zhou has built nearly a decade of experience in growth for some of the most well-known products in the world. She is currently a Director of Product Management at AdRoll. She was the lead product manager for growth at Yik Yak, an app that provides access to anonymous local feeds anywhere you go. Prior to that, she led growth hacking & user acquisition at Hipmunk, the fastest, easiest way to plan travel & was a product marketer for Google AdWords, Maps & Android.
