Fullstack Academy is a 13-week web development program based in New York City. Our admissions standards are set high and require that each admitted candidate pass a coding challenge, technical screen, and at least one month of pre-work well before Day 1, ensuring that everyone hits the ground running. Hiring Day is held the last week of the program, after developers have spent 700+ hours updating their technical skills and deploying three final projects.
At Hiring Day, you'll meet over 25 developers just beginning their job search. Recent Fullstack graduates have filled roles such as: Software Developer @ Percolate, Fullstack Developer @ HireArt, Test Automation Engineer @ Greenhouse.io, to name a few. Hiring Day Overview:
2:30-3:00 PM: Arrive and check in. We'll get you set up with an interview table and introduce you to our staff.
3:00-4:00 PM: Project Presentations. Candidates will demo final projects, the capstone project created during the final three weeks of the program, followed by a brief Q&A session.
4:00-5:30 PM: Speed Interviewing. Attendees will conduct short, 10-minute interviews with the candidates best suited for their company and open roles. We determine best fit based on the information shared with us from both parties to make sure you speak with the most relevant people.
5:30-6:30 PM: Meet anyone you didn't get a chance to interview and other Silicon Alley engineers and recruiters. Stick around to mingle!
After Hiring Day, you are free to follow up with candidates independently. Fullstack Academy instructors will provide references for specific engineers and we'll continue to send candidate recommendations until you have filled your role.
