We'll kick off with networking, drinks and appetizers followed by a panel on how education is becoming more open and social.
Laura Pappano, award-winning journalist, author and blogger, will lead the discussion as moderator. Laura is a frequent contributor to The New York Times Education Life section, and The Harvard Education Letter. She is the author of Inside School Turnarounds (2010), co-author of Playing with Boys (2008), and author of The Connection Gap (2001). She recently wrote the article, 'The Year of the MOOC,' which was featured on the cover of the New York Times Education Life section.
Panelists include innovators from local edtech companies, including:
- Jeremy Johnson, cofounder and President of Undergraduate Programs at 2U (formerly known as 2tor)
- Nihal Parthasarathi, cofounder of CourseHorse
- Hunter Horsley, marketing and operations lead at Lore
