We have 2 Container Talks in June:
1) "Operating a Service Mesh" by Tobias Kunzeof Glasnostic
2) "App-centric Micro-orchestration" byCasey Bissonof Joyent

Talk #1 - Glasnostic: How to operate a service mesh.Todays applications are constantly changing & growing meshes of services. How does one manage such a thing? How can we deploy workloads with vastly different life cycles & maturities without testing or QA? This short talk presents a novel solution to operating such a mesh that minimizes risk & maximizes uptime by combining real-time, actionable insights with application of predictable remediation.Speaker:Tobias Kunzeis a co-founder of Glasnostic & an ex-PaaS guy. His previous company was acquired by Red Hat where it ultimately became what is now OpenShift.

Talk #2 : App-centric Micro-orchestrationwith turbocharged Docker Compose.Getting started with container orchestration & scheduling systems, like Kubernetes, is relatively simple, but as your deployment grows it gets complicated fast. We will share a few Kubernetes complexity war stories, & then present a simpler approach, which leverages Docker Compose (in ways you may not know are possible) & the Autopilot Pattern for application micro-orchestration. The Autopilot Pattern works with any container scheduler, but for many applications & use cases weve found that this design pattern, combined with smart use of Docker Compose, provides the most elegant & scalable solution.Speaker:Casey Bisson, Systems Engineer, Joyent.Casey has worked as a systems engineer, software engineer, writer, librarian, open source founder, information architect, & director of engineering for Gigaom prior to joining Joyent as a Senior Director of Product Management for Triton, where he is focusedon building the next generation of cloud. He may be color blind, but he compensates with a wardrobe of clashing patterns.
