EVENT DETAILS |

As humans, we're increasingly breaking into smaller, more distinct, & more separate groups. We've seen this most recently in our politics, but it's also playing out economically & geographically. This is often made worse by technology, which can isolate us from other people.

Our two speakers work to do the opposite: connect humans more closely through products & data.

Anne Diaz leads research for the Trust group at Airbnb, where she works to create a more inclusive & connected community of hosts & travelers. She prepared for designing software with a background in urban studies & community organization.

Thomson Nguyen leads Data Science at Square, helping to build a trusted network of buyers & sellers. He arrived at Square when they acquired his company, Framed Data.

Both Anne & Thomson worked together previously at Causes.com, which has helped 200M people raise money for causes they care about.

The format for the evening will be a fireside chat-style deep dive with each of our guests. Talks & audience contributions will be off the record, & there will be the opportunity for some group interraction, as well as breakout time after.

We will be closing the doors at 6:50 to start promptly at 7pm, so please arrive on time.
