Each month, the New York Legal Hacker Meetup tackles one area where law has failed to keep up with technology. With a distinguished panel that will lay out the issue, we throw it open to our audience to ask questions and present their own solutions that will help law and policy adapt to a constantly changing world.
This month we're looking at the future of fashion law, with a focus on the law behind design. Unlike other industries, fashion houses often find it difficult to protect their creative designs from copying by competitors. At the same time, today's technologies have made it easier than ever to find and duplicate competing products. We'll look at the substance of the law today, how this law has shaped the industry over the years, and what the future holds for fashion IP. This should be a fascinating meetup for anyone interested in the law of design.
Panelists:
