The purpose of this talk is to introduce Ivy Data Science's Artificial Intelligence training program and give an overview of Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Individuals interested in an Artificial Intelligence career should attend this talk.

7:00-8:00pm Peter Morgan - Deep Learning Overview with Recent Developments

Bio: Peter is a published author and computer science industry veteran with twenty years experience working within the tech industry. Before entering industry, he solved high energy physics problems while enrolled in the PhD program in physics at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Peter then spent several years in industry as a Solutions Architect, then spent three years as a Research Associate on an experiment lead by Stanford University to measure the mass of the neutrino. He is currently Chief Data Officer at Ivy Data Science where he oversees AI technology strategy and platform & training development.


Artificial Intelligence is the single most important technology trend in the last decade and has captured a lot of attention in the research community, industry and consequently in the mainstream press. Deep Learning (the foremost AI framework) has superseded traditional machine learning algorithms and has begun outperforming humans in terms of accuracy in tasks such as image classification. In this talk, we will give an overview of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning along with some recent developments and applications including healthcare, finance, self-driving cars, virtual assistants and cloud robotics.
