Since June 25, 2014 at our New York Startup Pitch Night event at Carr Workplaces Fifth Avenue, we've used a new pitch event format featuring an expert pitch coach to provide individual feedback after each of the pitches. Our event format at times consists of audience Q&A, audience feedback, or audience feedback scoring. Events are tailored to each city and the event audience.

Zac Pappis leads marketing at DuckDuckGo, a search engine known for privacy, instant answers and less clutter. Zac will provide an undoubtedly interesting, informative, and engaging presentation, entitled "The User Experience of User Acquisition". His Presentation will be on user acquisition mistakes and methods. Also, he'll be touching on how DuckDuckGo handles user acquisition and community without tracking users. Founded by Gabriel Weinberg, DuckDuckGo has won many awards, including PCMag 100 Best Websites of 2011, TIME Best iPhone Apps of 2013, and Best Search Engine - About.com Reader's Choice Awards.

Michaels' BIO
Michael Chou is a Principal at Harmony Partners, an expansion stage venture capital firm with offices in New York and Silicon Valley. Select Harmony investments include Aveksa (acquired by EMC), Divide, Natera, PlaceIQ, and Smartling.
Prior to joining Harmony Partners, Michael was a founding member of Revolution Growth in Washing
ton DC alongside Steve Case (founder of AOL), Ted Leonsis (owner of the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals), and Donn Davis (former CEO of Exclusive Resorts). Select Revolution investments include Revolution Money (acquired by American Express), Zipcar (acquired by Avis), Bigcommerce, CustomInk, LivingSocial, LollyWollyDoodle, and Sweetgreen.
Michael began his career as a technology mergers and acquisitions banker at Barclays and Perella Weinberg where he advised clients such as AT&T, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, and Qualcomm.
Michael also co-founded Social Pensieve, a data analytics software startup, and Smart District, a financial non-profit. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University.
