Computer Science Education For Every Child In NYC
What a year it's been! CSNYC is turning three, and we have a lot to celebrate.
In September 2015, we launched Computer Science For All (CS4All), a partnership with the City of New York that represents the country's largest expansion of computer science education. This initiative puts us on a path to reach all 1,700 NYC public schools and 1.1 millions students in the next 10 years.
In January 2016, the White House announced a national commitment to computer science education. They liked our model so much they borrowed the name and many elements of our design. New York City will continue to lead the way as we begin to build this public-private partnership.
We invite you to celebrate these important milestones with us and see the progress first-hand.
The event will focus on the achievements of our students, teachers, and program partners. They will be on-hand to share their work in a science fair format, so you will have the opportunity to interact with them directly and see whats happening in classrooms across the city.
You will also have a chance to meet many of our Founding Partners, companies whose generous support ensures that CSNYC will play an ongoing role in the governance and evaluation of the initiative.
