Class Description

The first VR experience I ever made, back in 2013, just after the release of the first Oculus DK1, was called RiftChopper. In justafew short sessions I madeavery compelling helicopter style flight experience which I brought up to the first public Oculus event where it was one of the best experiences on display.

Together, we will remakeasimilar experience, focusing on an Oculus Rift playable experience, but inaway that will be playable even for those who do not ownaRift. In this two-day class, we will work together using the same techniques I use every day with my small team currently working on our first commercial VR release called "z0ne".

Since we haveaweek in between the two classes, my hope is that we will interact online using the class's dedicated "Basecamp" site to which all students will have access before, during, and after the class.

We will use the awesome Plastic SCM Asset Control server which will allow everyone in the class to participate and to contribute to the project, at whatever level they desire.

Here you can seeavideo I made back then showing the original experience we will seek to model : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPuyQr9PFO4
