SoDA Session at ADC - Connected Devices
Come join us at our April SoDA Session on April 24th for a boozy brunch and interactive conversation around the topic of Connected Devices. With a superstar lineup of speakers from Adobe, Rokkan and Big Spaceship, we'll dive into the future outlook of device convergence as well as current opportunities and challenges inherent to creating meaningful and valuable experiences across an ever-expanding constellation of devices.

SoDA Session NYC -- "Valuable Connections"
From appliances to wearables, the spectrum of Connected Devices hitting the market has exploded in the past 6-9 months. Add to that the vast array of additional devices currently being incubated by blue-chip technology companies, start-ups and digital shops, and it is clear that this trend is transforming - and will continue to transform - our industry in ways we're only just beginning to understand. However, the fundamental challenge - and opportunity - is to ensure that the exponential growth of Connected Devices yields a strong positive impact on people's present and future lives by creating real value.
The burgeoning growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) provides new and exciting opportunities for innovative design and functionality. And most importantly, we're just beginning to scratch the surface of use cases to provide tangible value to people's lives. Health and fitness are areas that have received the most attention, but we'll explore other categories that hold a tremendous amount of promise. Join us in an interactive discussion as we explore the ways companies are transforming their product experience (and sometimes purpose) around this seismic industry shift.
During the event we'll also be launching our latest volume of The SoDA Report - one of the most widely read digital trend publications in the world with over 250,000 readers in 2013 alone. We are placing humans at the heart of this year's publication and will be discussing this year's theme which surrounds value systems, value creation and value delivery from a wide variety of perspectives.
A Word on the Format
SoDA events are always structured to inspire candid conversation and audience engagement -- this SoDA Session will be no different! As a participant, you'll have the opportunity to hear from industry experts on the topic, but you'll also be able to join the panel discussion! We'll be using the Fishbowl discussion format in which there is always an empty seat for someone from the audience to join the panel line-up.

Michael is Founder and CEO of Big Spaceship. Since launching the agency in 2000, he has defined the strategy and vision for Big Spaceship's growth and culture as well as working closely with Big Spaceship's clients.
Over the past decade, Michael has led Big Spaceship to attain countless awards of high distinction. This includes a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for the agency's work with HBO Voyeur, Cannes Lions, Clios and One Show Interactive Pencils, as well as numerous Webby, FWA, Communication Arts, W3 and Pixel Awards. Michael was also named among the 2010 Creativity 50 and the 2008 OMMA Online All-Stars.

Gavin is Managing Partner at Made by Many, a digital product and services design studios with offices in New York and London. He's passionate about the combined potential of technology and design and their impact on culture. Previously, Gavin worked at Twitter as Brand Strategist, founded collaborative consumption startup, Bondsy, led digital innovation at Ogilvy and was one of the first to open the New York office of AKQA.
