7:00pm :Demystifying the Docker Ecosystem withTutum CEO, Borja Burgos

Docker and its ecosystem have been rapidly expanding to tackle the issues one might encounter when using Docker in production. Many solutions and startups have popped up around areas such as networking, storage, monitoring, logging, security, repository management, and CI/CD.

Borja will discuss the current roadblocks, the various ways people are solving them, and howTutum aims to provide an out-of-the-box solution with an easy to use fully-managed service.

Hell demo the deployment of a 3-tier web application on Digital Ocean using Docker andTutum.

Bio:Borja is a co-founder and the CEO atTutum.co. Borja holds a MSc in Information Security from Carnegie Mellon, a MSc in Applied Informatics from University of Hyogo, and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. Borja describes himself as a tech entrepreneur, hacker and DIYer. When not working onTutum, Borja likes to tinker with hardware and build things.

You've heard of Docker. You've built some images. You may have even deployed containers to production. What's next? How do your containers find each other from across the network or across the world? How do you adjust security parameters? What else can you do? Come join Bryan as he does a live exploration of some of the more esoteric functionality of the Docker ecosystem.


Bio:Bryan Liles works on strategic initiatives for DigitalOcean. In layman'sterms, this means he writes OSS for DigitalOcean and others. Helpscommunities move their software to the public cloud, and gets to speakat conferences on topics ranging from Machine Learning to how buildthe next generation of developers. When not thinking about code, Bryanraces cars in straight lines and around turns and builds robots anddevices.
