Synopsis:
This panel discussion addresses the state and outlook of M&As in Japan. In 2013, the value of M&A deals in Japan reached the lowest in the last decade. However, despite the decline in value of M&A deals, the market atmosphere has been that of increased activity and optimism. Especially with the boost in investor confidence Japanese corporates enjoyed in 2013, trends indicate that Japanese executives will demonstrate increased confidence to venture beyond borders and develop winning approaches for post-acquisition management. The panelists will offer their unique insights on aspects of strategic management, corporate finance, and management to revitalize M&As in and for a restructuring Japan.
