EVENT DETAILS |
Process work is all about improving efficiency and effectiveness. One of the key ways we do this is by recognizing and eliminating waste.
At this week's meetup we'll be diving into the 8 major forms of waste as described in Lean methodology (and captured in the acronym "TIMWOODS"). We will discover why they are inherently wasteful, and how to address each form of waste.
Understanding and recognizing where waste is occurring and why is a crucial skill for improving personal and professional processes, and this discussion will equip you to do so more intuitively.
If you're not familiar with this concept of the 8 Wastes, and would like a taster of the topic, here's a great resource to get you started: http://www.miconleansixsigma.com/8-wastes.html
Hope to see you there!
