<P>DrupalcampNYC2017 (#dcnyc17) is a full-day Drupal unconference, Drupal Ladders, and Drupal sprint event. All skill levels are welcome at DCNYC17. The content is determined by attendees at the beginning of the day, but you can expect to find sessions and conversations on topics ranging from the most basic to advanced.</P>
<P>Among the exciting details of the camp include:<BR> Morning coffee, bagels and a schmear (wouldn't be a NYC camp without 'em!)<BR> Beginning Drupal training, brought to you by none other than Ray Saltini (@rgs)<BR> A Drupal Ladder/mentoring room, where you can get your environment set up and learn to code for Drupal<BR> Drupal codesprints<BR> Sessions all day, picked by us all and presented by drupalists among us or collaboratively in BoF format.</P>
<P>DCNYC17 will take place on Saturday, February 18th, 2016 at John Jay College, which is located on the west side of 11th Avenue between 58th and 59th Street in Manhattan. It boasts a beautiful new state-of-the-art campus building with full digital amenities where our camp will be held.</P>
<P><STRONG>Registration for this event is $20 and is now open!</STRONG> We also have options for general and premium corporate sponsorships that organizations can purchase right now through EventBrite.<BR><BR><EM>What is an unconference?</EM><BR><BR>The typical approach to a conference features a content schedule that is selected in advance by a planning committee. While the committee may take input from its registered attendees, the committee ultimately decides what content will be presented at the event.<BR><BR>In an unconference, the event content is suggested and chosen by the actual attendees on the day of the event. First thing in the morning, we all gather to find out what everyone wants to talk about, set the schedule, then allocate the rooms that we have rented/reserved.<BR><BR>While content decisions are not made until the day of the camp, now is a great time to start thinking and talking about ideas for sessions. While there aren't formalized tracks per se, you can think about topics in terms of a few categories:</P>

<P>Also, consider different skill levels. Ideally, there will be a nice mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced content available.<BR><BR>Finally, keep in mind that the format for DCNYC17 content is flexible. You are certainly welcome to put together a formal presentation. However, some of the <EM>absolute best ideas</EM> come out of less structured material like a demo or case study and open discussion. We encourage you to consider leading a discussion on a topic of interest, or to submit a case study for consideration as a session topic.</P>
