Adam Reinmann '04
Senior Director, Wendel Group

Adam Reinmann is a director with the Wendel Group in New York. Previously he worked for Onex, a leading Canadian investment firm, where he was leading origination and due diligence efforts in the chemicals and specialty materials industries and has worked on several private equity transactions, including the acquisitions of The Warranty Group, Skilled Healthcare, Cypress Insurance Group, RSI Home Products and JELD-WEN Holding, inc. During 2009, Adam served as a member of the executive management team at Celestica, Inc., where he was actively involved in developing Celestica`s growth and operational improvement strategy. Before joining Onex, Mr. Reinmann was with JPMorgan's Leveraged Finance Group for eight years, where he led financings for financial sponsors and corporate clients, principally in the chemical and healthcare industries. Mr. Reinmann is a member of Columbia Business School Private Equity Program's Advisory Board. Mr. Reinmann holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from Binghamton University.



Thomas Vandever '98
Head of FIG M&A (Americas), Barclays

Mr. Vandever recently joined Barclays as Head of FIG M&A (Americas). Prior to Barclays, he was a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he was responsible for investment banking coverage of insurance companies and other financial institutions at Goldman Sachs. His clients included many of the largest US life insurance companies, US and Bermuda property/casualty insurance companies, and other insurance industry participants. Mr. Vandever has worked on approximately 75 announced transactions spanning advisory, public securities offerings, private equity, principal investing, structured finance, capital management, and derivative transactions. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he worked in various roles at Merrill Lynch, PMA Capital, and Deloitte & Touche, where he was a certified public accountant.

Mr. Vandever received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.


Scott S. Winter
Managing Director, Innisfree M&A Incorporated

Scott S. Winter is a Managing Director of Innisfree M&A Incorporated. Mr. Winter advises companies and investors on all aspects of shareholder engagement focusing on hostile and friendly acquisitions, shareholder activism, contested shareholder meetings, corporate governance, and other proxy solicitation matters. Prior to joining Innisfree, Mr. Winter was an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP specializing in mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border and hostile transactions. Before attending law school, he was a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young LLP for a number of hedge fund and broker-dealer clients.

Mr. Winter earned a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Wisconsin, and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law. Mr. Winter is member of the American Bar Association, Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, and a past member of Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Control Contests Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.


Donna M. Hitscherich '90, Moderator
Director, Private Equity Program, Columbia Business School
Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Finance and Economics

Professor Donna M. Hitscherich was appointed as director of the Private Equity Program in October 2010. Professor Hitscherich now serves as Senior Lecturer in the Finance and Economics division, a position she has held since 2008 after a nearly twenty year career in investment banking and law. Professor Hitscherich teaches Corporate Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Law in the MBA and Executive MBA programs. From 1988 through 1990, Professor Hitscherich was an assistant professor of law at St. John's University School of Law, where she taught Federal Securities Regulation and Legal Ethics.

Prior to her present position at Columbia, Professor Hitscherich had a career in investment banking, during which she held positions at CS First Boston, J. P. Morgan & Co. Incorporated and Banc of America Securities. Prior to her career in investment banking, Professor Hitscherich was a corporate lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Her research interests include mergers and acquisitions, valuation and fairness opinions. She was a member of the St. John's Law Review, and she is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York.
