For our February Forum we are excited to welcome Adi Marom, the Experience Design Lead at Second Story NYC. For this forum we'll take a deep dive into participatory, personalized, and physical narrative experiences.

Once Upon a Place: Storytelling in Physical Spaces
Second Story createsstories people can step inside of.


They design bespoke interactive experiences across cultural and brand spaces as well as across digital and physical mediums.While these experiences are story-driven, the process is lab-driven ensuring a human connection facilitated by technology innovation.

In this talk, Adi will share the story behind Second Story with a sneak peek into their storytelling and prototyping process.

An overview of selected client and lab projects will show a common thread,an invitation to participate and weave your own story:The Second Story.

About Adi Marom
Adi is the Experience Design Lead at Second Story NYC. She designs innovativeinteractive experiences and responsive environments for brands and culturalinstitutions, leading efforts from conception through implementation. Previously, Adilead the design of interactive installations at the LAB at Rockwell Group.

In addition to client work, Adi has been designing and prototyping new innovative userexperiences. And her work has been exhibited at museums and galleries worldwide;including the MoMA in NYC.

Whether in Second Storys lab or while working on her own projects and shows, Adi ispassionate to explore new ways to bridge digital and physical, high-tech and low-tech,tradition and innovation with the goal of creating engaging user experiences.

Adi is an adjunct professor at the MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons, The NewSchool for Design. She studied across three continents and across-disciplines earning aBFA in product design from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (Israel), MS in designengineering from The University of Tokyo (Japan), and MPS from the InteractiveTelecommunications Program, at New York University (USA).
