Join Be Social Change for our next Social Good Startup Stories featuring in-depth conversations with two social entrepreneurs who have used social media to launch their organizations sharing their experiences, insights, and lessons learned in creating new and innovative forms of social impact. Come hear stories of inspiration and passion on how they got started, overcame the challenges in building a social enterprise, and eventually brought their ideas to life to create new systems, platforms, and business models for social good.
This event is perfect for those wanting to learn about what it takes to create a social venture and see how social entrepreneurs are tacklings some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental problems.

Ashok’s career as a social entrepreneur spans the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, including launching a progressive entertainment company, leading a youth development organization, and working on Newsweek magazine’s inaugural Green Rankings while at KLD Research & Analytics, the pioneering sell-side firm for socially responsible investors.

Dan recently co-founded The Mutual, a for-profit social enterprise that rewards people for donating to charity with Perks from great brands. He is the Chief Executive Officer for The Mutual, leading a team on the growth of the organization. Dan fiercely believes in The Mutual’s vision to align the self-interests of businesses and people as a means of change to create a better world, which he calls Profitable Activism.
