Join us for the next Startup Weekend, Global Fashion Battle! This event will focus around fashion technology. What is fashion technology? In a broad sense, it's when fashion (what we wear, what we aspire to be, how we present ourselves to society through clothing) meets technology (innovation, a digital presence, engaging online & mobile content.) It's fashion embracing a new and digital component to sell / present their business model. It's where technology and fashion have merged to create faster and more innovative ways to shop, market, educate and ultimately experience the fashion industry whether through software, apps or products. From e-commerce to 3D printing to wearables, fashion technology covers a wide spectrum of applicable use cases.
Represent NYC in Poland!
NYC is one of many other cities from around the world participating in this battle. But to up the ante, we will be sending the top teams to Poland to compete in the global finals. So no pressure here. Just a free trip to compete on a global stage while representing your home city. No biggie.

Who should attend Startup Weekend Global Fashion Battle?
It doesn't matter if you are in the fashion industry or not. Come with an open mind and get ready to build something truly amazing and innovative. If you are in the fashion industry (eg: designer, buyer, seller, marketing, sales, advertising, PR, front of house, back of house, etc) or not (eg: mobile designer, application developer, business development, sales, student, teacher, etc), you are most welcome to participate in the weekend. 
Do I need to come with an idea?
If you have an idea for a startup, then great! We hope you pitch for the weekend. If you don't have an idea, thats quite alright! Come and spend the weekend, listen to the ideas being pitched and maybe something strikes your interest. The weekend is all about learning about the startup ideation process and learning from each other.
