Jim is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of CHASELLA - a results oriented private equity & early stage investment firm that is predicated on value-creation through entrepreneurship, innovation, & trust.
With a background in finance & a lifetime of experience in the real estate industry, Jim founded CHASELLA with an aim to integrate new-generation technology & a time-honored, multigenerational family tradition. He is an investor for over twenty portfolio companies & a valued advisor to various early-stage firms in & around New York City.
An avid baseball, basketball & football enthusiast, Jim is also a strong proponent of philanthropic causes connected to the sports world. In 2011, he founded the Glen E. Kaplan Memorial Scholarship at Massapequa High School, of which he is an alumnus, and, in 2015, he joined the Advisory Board for Kids Need More, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating unique experiences for families afflicted with cancer. He later linked up with Kids Need More & industry veteran Brandon Steiner of Steiner Sports Marketing, which later culminated in an unforgettable appearance at the Kids Need More family camp by career Yankees player & living legend, Bernie Williams.
