Description

Business, Design & Tech Transforming The World Presented by SMPLCT Lab & The Centre for Social Innovation at Social Media Week NYC 2013

More than ever these days’ we are learning that charity is not the solution when it comes to addressing the world’s needs but cross culture collaboration between sectors and creating products and/or services that have an impact, on people, planet and make a profit is. But what does it take to not only bring positive impact but also achieve scale? What should be the role of business, design, and technology in making a better world? Are some problems beyond its reach, like poverty?

On Tuesday, February 19th 2013 SMPLCT Lab in partnership with Centre for Social Innovation during Social Media Week NY, will bring together students, programmers, developers, entrepreneurs, creative, investors and techies to discuss how business, design, and technology is transforming the world. Together with some of NYC’s hardest working women intra/entrepreneurs we’ll learn simple solutions to the great problems of our generation: Poverty, Education, Finance, Health, Environment, Energy, Agriculture and Data. Follow along using hashtag #smplctlablaunch #smwsmplctlab

Tickets are limited. We only have space for 150 of the most creative programmers, developers, and entrepreneurs. We welcome enthusiasts from all levels of expertise, from corporate juggernauts to prominent young students.
