Bridging the span between design and development is more important than ever for startups. People make snap judgements about the feel of apps and websites, and designers can no longer afford to focus solely on making things look good - design has to incorporate the overall experience of aesthetics, responsiveness, and content discovery. Understanding both sides of the design + development equation is key to crafting beautiful, intuitive experiences. In this talk, Sam Ee will explore this relationship and share insights he's picked up over the years.
With over 15 years of experience in building internet enabled apps, Sam started out as a front end developer at numerous start ups. Eventually focusing more on UI and design, he is currently the Creative Director for Lot18, a NYC based startup that is shaking up the wine industry.
