Travis Skelly is a Director at FinTech Collective based in New York City. He joined FinTech Collective in 2014 to invest in startups that sit at the intersection of finance and tech. Travis is a financial services mutt, during his career he has spent time as a consultant at Accenture, strategy manager at HSBC, investment banker at Nomura and venture investor at FinTech Collective. Travis also did a tour of duty as a startup cofounder with a business named Embarkly (VC analogy: Airbnb for pet owners and boarding facilities). Travis is obsessed with figuring out how the financial services industry will be improved/disrupted through better tech, new business models, improved regulations and repurposed talent. Travis holds an MBA from the University of Texas and a BS from Georgetown University, where he double majored in Finance and International Business.
