<P>What makes a good puzzle game, & why? How do I make one & make it GOOD? Let's approach the art & science of puzzle game design through the unstoppably cool lens of human cognition. By framing the ways our brains solve problems, well get a clear lookintothe fundamental components & strategies for designing unique, flow-inducing puzzles.</P>
<P>There are SO many different properties of puzzle games, & we all have our preferences for which properties we like to play & design (e.g. Sudoku vs. Portal). What are these toolsets, which provide the richest experience, & how do we make it easier to design with them? This class is for anyone interested in understanding the meatinsidethe puzzle-game animal, which is apegasus.</P>

<P><STRONG>Brett Taylor</STRONG> is a one-man-band game developer with a love for understanding, discussing, & creating puzzle games. Bretts been designing & programming games since 2007, & most recently worked at Arkadium developingfunkyfunfresh3-week prototypes.
