<P><SPAN>If you are new to programming & feeling misdirected by self-teaching, this introductory course was developed for you!</SPAN>This program is designed to give individuals an understanding of <SPAN>the fundamental building blocks of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. You'll learn</SPAN>how to use JavaScript to create dynamic, interactive websites. <SPAN><SPAN>This part time class is intended to help you get your feet wet in the vast world of web development and</SPAN></SPAN>culminates with a portfolio-ready capstone project.</P>
<P><EM><STRONG>Length: 32 hours, 3 weeks, 4 times per week, 3 hour sessions.</STRONG></EM></P>
<P><EM><STRONG>Fee: The final cost for this three week opportunity is $1450.</STRONG></EM></P>

<P><STRONG>Who Should Take this Class?</STRONG></P>
<P><SPAN>This workshop is for anyone interested in learning to understand how to program interactive websites using JavaScript. Typically, we find there are three categories of students:</SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN>Future Web Development Immersive Student: If you are considering becoming a Galvanize Web Development student, you will find this workshop will give you the tools & techniques you are expected to know to enter the program. <P><STRONG>Course Breakdown</STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG>Week One (7/31/17-8/3/17):</STRONG></P>
<P>Students will learn the basics of Java Script from data types, to conditions, objects & functions.</P>
<P><STRONG>Week Two (8/7/17 - 8/10/17):</STRONG></P>
<P>Student will use their JavaScript skills to build dynamic websites. Students will gain a solid understanding of the Document Object Model (DOM.) Students also will be introduced to the JavaScript library, jQuery & will finish this second week by learning how to deploy their work to the world. </P>
<P><STRONG>Week Three (8/14/17- 8/16/17):</STRONG></P>
<P>During this final week, students will work on a final project (a dynamic website) that once completed will be portfolio ready. Students will have the chance to share their website with their cohort mates & recieve valuable feedback from Galvanize instructors.</P>

<P><SPAN>As an enterprise trainer & consultant, Jen has worked with Fortune 500 companies & startups, leading engineering teams & key industry stakeholders through emergent trends in technology. As lead instructor at NYCDA, she developed curriculum & course offerings, led numerous full stack immersives, & led training for NYCs Tech Talent Pipeline, preparing Computer Science undergraduate & graduate students for web development positions.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>Jen has a Masters from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU, where she experimented with web technology as a Departmental Fellow, & a BS in Physics from Columbia University, where she researched MATLAB, C, & Computer Vision in a Physics Lab.</SPAN></P>

<P><STRONG>Refund Policy</STRONG></P>
<P>A student who cancels within 7 days of signing the enrollemnt agreement but before instruction begins receives all monies returned with the exception of the non-refundable registration fee. Thereafter, a student will be liable for:</P>

<P>The non-refundable registration fee ($100.00) plus,</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Tuition liability as of the student's last date of physical attendance. Tuition liability is determined by the percentage of the program offered to the student.</P>

<P><EM><STRONG>Refund Schedule</STRONG></EM><BR><EM><STRONG>If termination occurs, the school may keep:</STRONG></EM></P>
<P>Within 7 days of signing enrollment agreement, but before 1st Week: 0%<BR>0-15% of the Program: 0%<BR>16-30% of the Program: 25%<BR>31%-45% of the Program: 50%<BR>46-60% of the Program: 75%<BR>After 60% of the Program: 100%</P>
