<P><SPAN>For an entire year, documentary film director Adam Bolt has been interviewing the scientific minds behind CRISPR, the controversial gene editing technique that has ignited public imagination about designer babies, new cures for cancer, & more. </SPAN></P>
<P>Join iBiology & Genspace for a talk where Adam will share insights from his meetings with pioneers in the field for his forthcoming feature film.</P>
<P><SPAN>The talk will be followed by a Q+A with Adam & producers, Elliot Kirschner & Sarah Goodwin.</SPAN></P>

<P><STRONG>Adam Bolt</STRONG><SPAN> (Director) edited & co-wrote the Oscar-winning documentary </SPAN><SPAN>Inside Job,</SPAN><SPAN> for which he received the Writer's Guild Award for Best Documentary Screenplay & was nominated for an American Cinema Editors award for Best Edited Documentary in 2011. He won an Emmy in 2014 for his work on the Showtime documentary series </SPAN><SPAN>Years of Living Dangerously</SPAN><SPAN>, where he served as editor, writer, & senior producer. His other credits include director Alex Gibneys </SPAN><SPAN>Park Avenue: Money, Power & The American Dream,</SPAN><SPAN> which premiered on PBS's Independent Lens & went on to win a Peabody Award in 2013; </SPAN><SPAN>Page One: Inside the New York Times,</SPAN><SPAN> which was nominated for two Emmys (including Best Editing) in 2012; & the HBO documentary </SPAN><SPAN>The Recruiter,</SPAN><SPAN> which won a Columbia duPont award for excellence in broadcast journalism in 2010.</SPAN></P>
<P><STRONG>Elliot Kirschner</STRONG><SPAN> (Executive Producer) is an Emmy-award winning news & documentary producer. He got his start at CBS News, producing for such programs as 60 Minutes, Sunday Morning & the Evening News. In 2007, Kirschner joined legendary news icon Dan Rather to help manage a cable news & documentary program where he commissioned & oversaw numerous science reports. He joined iBiology in 2015 & recently completed short films on diabetes funded by the Simons Foundation. Kirschner is currently leading iBiology efforts to create content for the general public.</SPAN></P>
<P><STRONG>Sarah Goodwin</STRONG><SPAN> (Producer) is the leading staff science advisor on the film. She got her PhD in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco before becoming the Director of iBiology, a non-profit that produces free online video lectures from the worlds leading biologists. Under her leadership, the organization has grown in staff & scope, & has produced hundreds of videos with millions of yearly views. Sarah has worked with a wide variety of scientists on communicating their research, & will ensure the science content in this film is accurate in depicting the state of knowledge & the spirit of discovery.</SPAN></P>
