<P>A relatively new field, Product Management was created to focus on translating the needs of customers into working software. Somewhere along the way, we lost track of the problems and needs of our users in favor of creating software that we THINK is "sexy" and "innovative". Unfortunately building these features based on assumptions has led to the failure of many companies. In this talk, we'll discuss how to get back to the roots of product management using Lean methodologies. We'll go over tools and methods to refocus your teams on being successful customer and problem centric product managers.</P>

<P>Melissa Perri is the founder of ProdUX Labs, a product development and process consultancy. She has worked with a range of clients from large enterprises to development agencies to help establish cultures of innovation and find the best development processes for their teams. Melissa is also a curriculum fellow at General Assembly, rewriting the Product Management course. She is a global teacher and speaker onLeanProduct Management and UX. Before starting ProdUX Labs, she co-founded a company in Europe and was a Product Manager and UX Designer in NYC.</P>
