Each chosen startup will have the opportunity to give a 3min pitch of their startup to our esteemed guest speakers Adam Plotkin of ff Venture Captial, Murat Aktihanoglu of Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, Jessica Peltz of KBS+ Ventures and Gina Waldhorn of Evol8tion.
There will also be plenty of time for networking.

Adam Plotkin, a life-long technology early adopter and enthusiast, has spent the past three years working with startup companies as an advisor, consultant, and investor. Most recently, Adam was Director of Business Development at a New York-based startup insurance company and at a secondary gift card exchange. He has also served as an advisor to a number of mostly financially oriented new businesses in New York and LA.
 
Previously, Adam was the first hire at Lake Baldwin Management, a Princeton, New Jersey opportunistic hedge fund, where he was a generalist investor, managing an array of public and private market investments. Mr. Plotkin began his career at Goldman Sachs in the Leveraged Finance Group, where he devoted a substantial portion of his time advising clients in the telecom and insurance industries, and in the Risk Markets Group, where he was involved in the design, structure and marketing of two of the early catastrophe risk-linked bonds.

He also holds Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Applied Sciences, and Bachelor of Science in Economics degrees, cum laude with distinction from the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania, as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and a Joseph Wharton Scholar. He grew up in New Jersey, where he operated a Commodore-64 based BBS before Middle School. Adam joined ff Venture Capital in June 2013 as Entrepreneur in Residence.

Murat Aktihanoglu

Murat is the founder and managing director of ERA. He is an engineer, entrepreneur, investor and author. His last startup before ERA was Centrl, a location-based social networking startup that he founded in 2008.
Murat founded Entrepreneurs Roundtable as a non-profit in 2007. The organization, which holds monthly free short pitch format meetings connecting investors with promising startups, has created a very active and engaged community in New York City helping budding entrepreneurs, investors and the local startup ecosystem. ER has hosted more than 150 events to date with more than 20,000 participants.
In 2011, Murat co-authored Location-Aware Applications, a comprehensive guide to the technology and business of creating compelling location-based services and applications.
Murat has previously served as a technologist to Fortune 500 companies and some of the world's most well-known brands including AT&T, Sony, Panasonic, Logitech and Pioneer. He has established engineering infrastructures and software development methodologies for numerous startups including Improv, Sonicbox, Plaxo, Manyone and Coollris. He has managed engineering teams for Silicon Graphics in Mountain View and Sony Corporation in California and Tokyo.
He is a frequent speaker at technology and entrepreneurship conferences and panels, such as Mobile Marketing Association Forum, Monaco Media Forum, Ultra Light Startups, Siggraph, Abu Dhabi Media Conference and New York Entrepreneur Week.
Murat serves as a board member for the Turkish American Business Forum and is co-founder of the Turkish Founders Club. He is an advisor at MIT Enterprise Forum, Standard Start, Girls In Tech and the Turkish Women's International Network.
 
Jessica Peltz

Jessica Peltz is the Investment Director at<A STYLE="color: #1155cc; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-decoration: none;" HREF="http://kbsp.vc/" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow">kbs+ Ventures</A>, focusing on sourcing deal flow and making investment recommendations for early stage tech startups looking to transform the media and advertising industry. She is a frequent speaker within the NYC startup community, and specializes in helping connect marketers with emerging technology. In addition to being an Astia advisor and mentor at both UpWest Labs in SF and NYCBigApps, Jessica has a global footprint and has developed strategic relationships with over 100+ startup organizations across 20+ countries worldwide. Prior to joining kbs+, she spent 10+ years working with Fortune 500 brands including Verizon Wireless, Kraft Foods, and H&M. While at Evol8tion she brokered numerous first to market startup and brand partnerships, and as a VP Integrated Media Director at Zenith was recognized as one of the original industry pioneers in the mobile space and spearheaded the strategy for multiple clients. Her cutting edge collaborations were often featured in the trades such as Mashable, Adage, Mobile Marketer, and Mediapost. Jessica has a BA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, with a double concentration in Marketing and International Relations.
 
 
Gina Waldhorn

Gina Waldhorn co-founded Evol8tion and became COO after having spent 7 years driving innovation in digital strategy and communications planning for global clients including Procter & Gamble, Albert Culver, and UPS at agencies Carat and GroupM. An obsessive problem solver, Gina has stewarded industry-leading advancements in streaming video standardization, and taken home a Young Cannes Lion Award. She achieved a Master of Arts in Global Marketing from Emerson College in Boston, and is a board member of The 212, NYC's premier digital advertising society.
