Description

Join the National STEM Video Game Challenge at the American Museum of Natural History and experience a fun and unique workshop where teens will learn about game design and use the Museum’s exhibits as inspiration to create their own games!

Global Kids, a youth development non-profit and E-Line Media, a game design company, will teach teens game design concepts, tools for designing games, and introduce students the National STEM Video Game Challenge, a national competition where youth can submit games to win prizes and recognition. During the workshop, participants will design their own games and register for the National Stem Video Game Challenge.

The American Museum of Natural History's STEM experts will also guide participants through their interactive exhibits and how to integrate STEM concepts with game design.

All equipment and lunch will be provided, but participants can bring their own laptop if they want to. The event is free, but space is limited and RSVP is required. Participants who do not RSVP will not be guaranteed a spot.

This workshop is for youth grades 5-12, but adults and educators are welcome to join as chaperones and must RSVP.

Participants should enter through the Museum's 77th Street Entrance.
