From concept to market, a startup is much like any other business, it requires sales and marketing to drive its revenue and create jobs. For technology companies, they can use social media and tailor it to their market, with bloggers, evangelists and industry veterans. If a product solves a business problem, allows for open integration, and is able to come to the market rapidly, it is often looked upon as an innovator. We will discuss our new product, and how we can all help as a community to grow awareness, and very much become a subject matter in the most critical component of cloud security.
7:25pm "Big Data in the Cloud: Opportunities and Challenges," presented by MortarData
The volume of data in the cloud is tripling every 12 months, resulting in 250x growth in the past five years. This data deluge presents tremendous opportunities, but also potential issues, for data-intensive companies. Mortar co-founder and CEO K Young will join us to discuss the benefits and potential challenges data-intensive companies face. The talk will be for AWS users, and topics will include key tools and technologies to consider, life-cycle challenges, storage options, and data development best practices.
8:15pm Networking & Refreshments (to be provided)
