NYCDA + Tech Dev & Design firm, Capitol Foundry, are teaming up to invite you for a day-long Design-A-Thon & UI/UX Panel event on Saturday, October 29th!
Join us at 10 a.m. for an introductory workshop on UI/UX Design fundamentalswe'll show how great design changes everything, and explain core elements of the UI/UX design process.
Once you have a grasp on user-centered design, we'll break into teams (we'll help you find one if you come solo!) and announce the design challenge prompt. Each team will have two hours for brainstorming, wireframing, and mapping before we break for lunch (provided by us!), then one more hour for final iterations & pitch prep after your lunch break.
Next, we'll feature an organic panel discussion with industry experts. They'll share insights on 2016 design innovations and predict future trends we'll see in 2017 and beyond. The panel will be moderated by Matt Karp of Motivate Design, and will also include panel speakers: Emil Skandul, principal of Capitol Foundry, Seth Cheeks, the Senior Designer at Google + more.
