Moderated by NYU Stern professor Steven Godeke, our panelists will discuss various impact investing strategies including microfinance and social venture capital, and examine the many issues facing this nascent field. Join us to learn how impact investing is addressing some of society's toughest challenges, how you can get involved, and network with a distinguished group of professionals.</SPAN></P>

<P><STRONG>Sharon Chang</STRONG> is a media executive, brand strategist, innovation consultant, social entrepreneur, impact investor, and philanthropist. Before founding Yoxi, Sharon was the Chief Creative Officer of 19 Entertainment, the company behind popular TV shows American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. Prior to her tenure at 19, she worked as a brand strategist and creative director, and was one of the most sought-after innovation leaders in the design and digital marketing industry.</P>
<P>In addition to her work at Yoxi, Sharon is a Partner at THNK School of Creative Leadership, serves on the Board of Trustees of New York University, and is co-founder and board member of a number of non-profit organizations, technology startups, and social ventures.</P>

His clients include The Rockefeller Foundation, The Robin Hood Foundation, The F.B. Heron Foundation, The World Economic Forum and other corporate clients. Steven is also an adjunct professor at New York University where he currently teaches a course in Microfinance and Social Entrepreneurship. Prior to establishing his own firm, Steven worked for twelve years in corporate and project finance with Deutsche Bank. He attended Purdue University where he received a B.S. in Management and a B.A. in German. He studied as a Fulbright Scholar in Cologne and has an M.P.A from Harvard University.</SPAN></SPAN></P>

She leads the team that invests Heron's approximately $300 million portfolio in ways that deliver positive value to society and serve Heron's mission of helping people help themselves out of poverty and thrive. Ms. Starr is currently a member of the Foundation Financial Officers Group, the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Security Analysts, and the Mission Investors Exchange. Prior to joining Heron in 2001, Ms. Starr worked as a consultant at ATKearney's Global Business Policy Council, a research associate at microfinance institution PRIDE Tanzania, and as an economics and equity analyst at First Asset Management.</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></P>

Previously, he was a partner at Developing World Markets (DWM) where he helped structure and place the world's first capital markets transaction for microfinance. For his work, he and his team won a Fast Company award in 2008 for companies pioneering new models for financing social innovation. Before joining DWM, Mr. Frank spent twenty years on Wall Street and was one of the first US-based investment professionals to work in international and emerging markets. Prior to her career as a consultant in the impact investing field, Ms. Cheong was a Vice President in Plainfield Asset Managements Direct Lending and Investing group. In this role, she was responsible for sourcing and executing private equity and debt investments across multiple industry sectors for the $6 billion hedge fund. Prior to that, she was a Senior Associate and founding member of Briscoe Capital Partners and a Financial Analyst at Deutsche Bank. Ms. Cheong serves on the Board of Directors of Agora Partnerships, a nonprofit impact investing organization dedicated to helping small and growing businesses fight poverty in poor communities throughout Central America. In addition, Ms. Lakhani currently serves as the National Finance Manager for The Mosaic Project, a nonprofit offering twelve regional summer camps to kids ages 6-13, annually. He currently leads the Impact Venture Capital Workshop at Stanford University and frequently speaks at UC Berkeley to give students a first hand experience of being an impact investor. Ari is an international speaker on Impact Investing and Social Entrepreneurship giving talks at universities, businesses, nonprofits, and conferences.</SPAN></SPAN></P>
