In VC 201, we will build on the basics presented in VC 101. Specifically, we will use the components of a traditional VC investment memo as a vehicle to examine the aspects of an investment opportunity, & the associated analysis, that matter to VCs & why. This exercise allows us to explore basics of the Term Sheet, the Capitalization Table, the importance & structure of a Board of Directors as well as how a venture round typically comes together - from a lead investor to the broader investment syndicate.
VC 101 explored how to engage with a typical VC & the basic mechanics of a VC fund. VC 201 will explore what to expect once you have your foot in the door.
