She then went back to her first love, films, with the production company Lucky Dragon Productions, where she trained in all areas of film production & promotion. At the same time, she started freelance reporting for Examiner.com on major Silicon Valley events, producing video interviews with tech industry players. Ms. Hendrickson was the founding Executive Director of the South Dakota Enterprise Institute which served as a virtual incubator for commercialization of research & growth oriented start-up businesses. Ms. Hendrickson has helped launch many successful start-up technology companies. During her tenure as Executive Director of the Enterprise Institute, she also developed an extensive angel network. She was appointed by former South Dakota Governor Rounds to the Value-Added Finance Authority in 2007 & by current Governor Daugaard in 2015 for a third-year term. Marcia graduated from South Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota, with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & is also a Certified Public Accountant. <BR><BR>Marcia & her husband, Chuck, live near Chancellor, SD. Maria is a cell & molecular biologist with over 10 years of research experience. She received her PhD from the Watson School of Biological Sciences at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory as an Arnold & Mabel Beckman graduate student & a William Randolph Hearst foundation scholar. For her undergraduate studies she graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science & a minor in Mathematics. As an undergraduate student she was able to acquire an endowment of $2 Million dollars from the Goizueta Foundation & lobby the foundation to renew it after her graduation. She was the first recipient of the Goizueta Minority Science Scholarship & was a NIH fellow with the Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC U*STAR) Award. After her doctorate, she decided to combine science & business together with her interpersonal skills by acquiring experience in investment of technology & life sciences startup companies at Canrock Ventures & Golden Seeds.</P>
