<P>Podcasting has never been a particularly viral medium. The connection between technology and audio storytelling as always been clumsy at best. This American Life's "<A HREF="https://shortcut.thisamericanlife.org/#/?_k=kk3rfv" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Shortcut</A>" has tried to change all that, and reach younger, more diverse listeners.</P>
<P>Join the team behind "Shortcut" for a panel discussion about what we've learned in our quest to fix audio sharing.</P>

<LI>Stephanie Foo is a producer at This American Life, and is the project lead for Shortcut, TAL's new web app for sharing audio clips. Stephanie also helped create WNYC's Snap Judgment and her work has been featured on 99% Invisible and Reply All.</LI>

<LI>Jason Sigal is a creative technologist specializing in audio on the web. Jason co-founded the Free Music Archive out of WFMU, where he is also a DJ. His interest in sharing music with technology led him to NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) where he received his masters and spent the following year as a research resident. He now dedicates his time to teaching and developing web based tools that increase access to audio.</LI>

<LI>Jane Friedhoffwas the UX designer for Shortcut. She is a game designer, creative researcher, and experimental programmer whose work focuses on pushing the affordances of a given medium to create new, unusual, and playful relationships between people. She currently works at the Office For Creative Research, where she works on data literacy and visualization tools for social good, and before that was a creative technologist at the New York Times' R&D Lab, where she developed journalism-oriented experiments like Madison and Membrane.<SPAN><SPAN><BR></SPAN></SPAN></LI>

<LI>Dalit Shalomis a multidisciplinary designer and creative technologist hailing from Tel Aviv and currently based in Brooklyn. She has an extensive background in design and user experience and likes to obsess over nuances in human behavior. She is the Director of Product Design at the Sage Project, and has previously worked with organizations such as The New York Public Library, littleBits and CreativeMornings. Dalit holds a Masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU, where she received Google's Experiments in Storytelling grant. In addition to her career in design, she holds a position of adjunct faculty at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where she teaches Design and Authoring for Interactive Media. Her insatiable curiosity drives her love for research, and she is passionate about making memorable and meaningful experiences that people can share together.
