Jonathan Hakakian

In 2012 Jonathan co-founded SoundBoard Angel Fund with Richard Magid to build a community of experienced entrepreneurs to formally invest in early-stage companies outside the major city centers. He has raised capital for the fund, directed the diligence process into a growing portfolio of 20 companies, & coached many of the portfolio's entrepreneurs on their journeys. Jonathan recentlygraduated from the Kauffman Fellows Program (Class 19) where he focused his studies on being an innovative venture investor.


Locally, Jonathan is a board member of New Jersey Entrepreneurial Network, an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at Stevens Institute of Technology Venture Center, & an advisory board member of MCW (a non-profit focused on empowering current & future leaders to better their local communities).


Jay Bhatti

Jay Bhatti is a venture capitalist with BrandProject Capital. Some investments include Freshly (recent $77m raise by Nestle), Daily Harvest, Chef's Plate, Owlet, Ritual.co & The Coveteur. Jay was a finalist for NJTC 2017 VC of the Year & gave a Tedx talk in 2016 on the state of innovation between Silicon Valley & New Jersey.


Prior to BrandProject, Jay co-foundedspock.comin Silicon Valley in 2006 & raised over $10 million in venture capital to launch a search engine that powered major social networks like Bebo, Hi5, Friendster, & Tagged. At it's peak, over 50 million users were doing 100 million searches a month on Spock. Making it one of the top 7 search engines in the world. Spock was sold in 2009.


Prior to Spock, Jay was a product manager at Microsoft in the Enterprise Server Group. Jay has an MBA from Wharton & a BS in Engineering with Highest Honors from Rutgers.
